Eligibility requirements in order to be considered for placement on a team:

  • Player must reside within the school districts of De Pere or West De Pere, or attend a school within the district boundaries.
  • Player must register and play within the De Pere Baseball League.
  • De Pere Baseball Tournament Team members are not allowed to play on any other program's Tournament Team. If a player is discovered to be playing with another Tournament Team, they will lose their eligibility with the De Pere program immediately and no fees will be refunded.
  • Players must attend a tryout in order to be considered for a Tournament Team.

Selection Process:

  • The team's head coach, along with independent evaluators, will grade the skill of the players in the different aspects of the game throughout the evaluation process. These individuals then select players for the team(s).
  • The head coach will contact your player if they were selected to the team. If your child was not selected, you will receive an email from De Pere Baseball.

Parent & Player Expectations:

  • All players, coaches and parents are expected to represent the city of De Pere and our program in a positive manner. Any incidents may be reviewed by De Pere Baseball and may result in the player being removed from the team.
  • If selected to play on a team, there is a per-player fee in addition to your registration fee for summer league play.  This payment must be received prior to the first team practice.
  • All tournament team parents are required to work the concession stand or provide other assistance during the De Pere tournament.
  • Tournament Teams require a higher level of commitment than regular league play. If your player cannot commit to the additional weekly practice and to at least 5 tournaments, please do not try out.
  • All travel expenses are the responsibility of the parents.
  • Tournament Team players will be asked to help with an annual fundraising effort.  While there is no minimum dollar amount required to be raised, we do ask that the players put forth a good effort as this fundraiser helps to offset a significant portion of the program's cost and keep it affordable.
